It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Matt McEwan. His unexpected departure leaves a deep void not only in our hearts but across the entire Wagyu community he so passionately supported.
Matt was a dedicated advocate for progress, a mentor, and a loyal friend to many. His unwavering commitment to the community, especially through his support and his active role on the board of the Texas Wagyu Association, has left a lasting impact that will be remembered for years to come.
More than his achievements, it was Matt’s character that stood out. He was generous with his time, steadfast in his support, and deeply committed to the people and causes he believed in. He made everyone around him feel heard, valued, and inspired.
Matt was always striving for the next best thing and inspired those around him with his vision, work ethic, and generosity. He believed in the power of innovation and community, and he lived those values every day.
Matt leaves behind a young family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this incredibly difficult time. We hope they find comfort in knowing how deeply admired and respected he was by all who had the privilege of working with him.
In honor of Matt’s legacy, we will continue to uphold the values he championed and support the causes he held dear.
