Introducing Herd Yard
A New Opportunity for TWA Members

The Texas Wagyu Association is always looking for ways to bring added value to its members—whether through education, industry connections, or new tools that help producers succeed. We’re excited to introduce a new partnership opportunity with Herd Yard, an emerging online marketplace designed to simplify how cattle are bought and sold nationwide.

What is Herd Yard?

Herd Yard is a digital platform built specifically for cattle producers and buyers. Their mission is straightforward: make it easier to connect quality cattle with serious buyers through a streamlined, professional, and easy-to-use online experience.

With Herd Yard, producers can list cattle, showcase their programs, and communicate directly with interested buyers—all in one place. The platform focuses on up-to-date listings, transparency, and accessibility, helping bridge the gap between breeders and the marketplace.

For Wagyu producers, this presents a valuable opportunity to gain more exposure and reach a broader audience beyond traditional sale formats.

The Big Texas: Field Day

The 2026 Texas Wagyu Association Conference officially gets underway with a full day in the field—bringing producers together where it all starts: at the ranch.

A Growing Presence in the Market

In recent years, the Wagyu name has started showing up in more places than ever before—including fast food menus. For example, Burger King has introduced “Wagyu-style” burgers in markets like the United Kingdom as part of limited-time offerings.

TWA Raffle Announcement

The Texas Wagyu Association (TWA) is excited to announce a special raffle featuring a truly unique firearm that honors the legacy of America’s cattle industry—the H9 American Cattleman Tribute Edition Rifle in .30-30.

Sunday River Ranch

Building a Legacy of Excellence in Wagyu

The Texas Wagyu Association is proud to spotlight Sunday River Ranch, owned and operated by Jerome and Leanne Landreneau, a family dedicated to raising full-blood Wagyu cattle with a commitment to quality, consistency, and long-term stewardship.

Located in Edna, Texas, Sunday River Ranch blends modern cattle management with a deep respect for tradition. While their Wagyu program is still growing, their vision is clear: produce exceptional beef through disciplined genetics, thoughtful feeding, and hands-on care—every step of the way.

Rooted in Family and Purpose

Sunday River Ranch is more than a cattle operation—it’s a family endeavor built around shared values and a long-term vision.

Jerome and Leanne work alongside their three children—Cason, Preston, and Austyn—instilling not only a strong work ethic, but also an appreciation for land stewardship and animal care.

Their ranch name itself reflects their philosophy: a place grounded in faith, family, and the idea of slowing down to do things the right way.
