Fort Worth, TX – May 31, 2025 — The 2025 edition of The Big Texas Sale concluded with tremendous success, tallying over $1.5 million in elite Wagyu cattle sales and attracting top-tier breeders and bidders from across the country to the Fort Worth Stockyards. With historic offerings including some of the top indexed Wagyu animals in the world herd and a festive weekend atmosphere, the event once again proved why it’s recognized as a premier destination for Wagyu excellence.
Record-Breaking Sales: Elite Genetics Shine
Among the highlights of the evening was the top-selling female lot, a powerhouse two heifer offering from Wyndford Wagyu (Lot #2), which featured the top two BFI-indexed females in the United States. The winning bidder, Blackjack Ranch of Wiggins, Mississippi, made history by “sweeping the ring”—placing a $215,000 winning bid on each heifer for a total purchase price of $430,000, the highest grossing single-buyer purchase of the event.
The top-selling male was Lot #92, a young bull sold on his recipient’s side. As a direct son of the elite Lot #1 female offered that same evening, he entered the ring with prestige, ranked as the #1 BFI Bull in North America. He was purchased by Jesse Trebil of Grove City, Minnesota, for $110,000—solidifying the event’s status as a showcase for the industry’s most elite Wagyu genetics.
